Replenishing Hope. Restoring Dignity.

"Helping to Bring Life Saving Access to Water to Gaza's Displaced Families"

What We Do

Hope in Every Drop.

Families in Gaza are living through unimaginable hardship displaced by conflict, cut off from clean water, and struggling to keep their children safe. Water of Hope for Gaza is a grassroots mutual aid initiative, community to community, led by local humanitarian leaders in Gaza and supported by solidarity across the UK and Ireland by delivering daily water trucks to refugee camps bringing hope, dignity, and survival to families who’ve gone months without aid.  Each truck brings 7,000 litres of life-saving water, restoring hope to hundreds of people.

In the camp, families were collecting seawater and leaving it in the sun hoping it would become safe. It didn’t. Salt water is not suitable for consumption and crucially can’t be used to prepare infant formula, and children were already suffering painful fungal skin infections because they couldn’t wash. Breastfeeding mothers, dehydrated and malnourished, struggled to stay healthy enough to feed their babies. With famine pressures and mass displacement, water is the first, non‑negotiable lifeline.

When clean water arrives, everything changes. Mothers can safely prepare infant formula. Children can bathe without fear of infection. Families can cook, heal, and rest with dignity. Your support keeps daily water trucks flowing to displaced families living in tents in and around Deir al‑Balah—and to people forced to walk south from Gaza City, often with nothing but what they can carry.

Your support turns scarcity into survival.
£250 funds a truck. £25 a month sustains the lifeline.

Join us. Give water. Give hope.

Our work is powered by local leadership. Meet Ibraheam Sbeah, a humanitarian coordinator with nearly a decade of experience, and Heba Sbeah, a pharmacist and women’s health advocate who provides consultations and sources medications for families. They are the heart of this project.

Daily Water for Deir al‑Balah Camp

A truck a day keeps hope alive.

We deliver one 7,000‑litre water truck every day to the camp free at point of use so families can drink, wash, and cook safely.

Our on‑the‑ground team: Ibrahaem and Heba Sbeah coordinate daily deliveries, queue management, and equitable distribution. Bulk purchasing and trusted local operators keep costs down and trucks reliable. Each truck costs £250; sustaining daily deliveries requires ~£5,000/month.

Supporting Additional Water Initiatives

Scaling hope through local networks.

Beyond our daily deliveries in Deir al Balah, we work with Ibraheam to identify areas where families have no access to water trucks. Through his local connections and humanitarian experience, we coordinate with other community change-makers to provide emergency support where the need is greatest.

This approach ensures that even when resources are stretched, solidarity reaches beyond one camp because no family should be left without water

Clean Water = Safe Formula for Infants

Water + Care: A Lifeline for Families

We work alongside the Gaza Formula Fund, a trusted partner sourcing and distributing infant formula and essential supplies. Together, we create a stronger lifeline—because water alone isn’t enough when babies need nourishment and parents need hope.

Our teams coordinate daily to ensure these efforts reach the families who need them most. It’s a simple principle: when water and care come together, survival becomes possible—and dignity returns.

Impact and Stories

Daily access to clean water means safe formula for babies, reduced skin infections, and fewer parents risking dangerous trips.

For more than 300 families, each truck equates to around 23 litres per family per day, turning scarcity into routine dignity.

When the water truck arrived, people felt as if it was a precious treasure… everyone was able to drink and felt comforted and hopeful. Your truck meets immediate thirst and reminds people they’re not forgotten.

‘Despite the harsh conditions my family is living through — the hunger and the struggle to secure even the most basic needs like food and water — I firmly believe that humanitarian work is a moral duty that I cannot abandon.’
